Lokmanya Tilak Birthplace – Ratnagiri




Swarajya ha maza janmsidh hakk ahe ani to mi milwnarch…..” 


is the world known slogan of Bal Gangadhar Tilak who born as Keshav Gangadhar Tilak 
(23 July 1856 – 1 August 1920), was an Indian nationalist, journalist, teacher, social reformer,
 lawyer and independence activist who was the first popular leader of the Indian Independence
 Movement.








Tilak’s home town is  at Chummakachu Lane (Ranjani Aaleea) in Chikhali, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Where they lived with their family, but there birthplace and no memorial is in tilak ali Ratnagiri.






This place is situated near to ratnagiri bus stand 5 min walk in distance from bus stop and approx... 15 min by bus from Ratanagiri railway station (5 K.M).





There is one calm garden situated at backyard of Tilak’s home, where you can rest your soul and enjoy the silent breeze.
